the reviews have a marginal space in the literary history. and yet, they are at the heart of creation, reception and history. however, some of them, take up a fringe within the fringes and go beyond the mere conception, the mere usage of a circulation medium to figure themselves out and act as genuine artistic media, creation vehicles that alter literature. as an example, the article analyses the intervention of the review banana split in the poetic field of the 1980s and the way in which this medium diverted its classical usage to transform our reading habits and modify the artists' works, leading both the genre of the review and the artistic productions into a reciprocal metamorphosis game.
