traffic noise has become an environmental growing problem that happen mainly in modern cities having not enough attention in the third world. this issue has motivated the authors to put in writing a view of the state of the art of the problem, through a wide and rigorous review that, in the first side, identify its causes and consequences, and in the other, its solutions in the context of developing countries.
