Residuos y salud: Tartagal - Salta

among the major environmental problems that municipalities in argentina have, is the incorrect management of their urban solid waste, through the provision of opencast waste landfill. this research aimed to define the relationship between waste management and health of the population of two neighbourhoods in tartagal with different socio-economic realities (mision cherenta and 65 viviendas) through the use of surveys and interviews conducted in the year 2010. the morbidity analyzed in this work was related to basic sanitation. the importance of the integrated waste management is valued to decrease morbidity and to minimize local and global environmental impact.
