in this paper, we reported the optimal variables for obtaining activated carbon from the precursor guadua angustifolia kunth (bamboo). we identify parameters such as, carbonization temperature, carbonization time, impregnation temperature in activating, impregnation time in activating, relationship activating-charcoal, activation temperature, activation time and sample size. these optimal conditions of carbonization, allowed to obtain the highest adsorption capacity in the bleaching process with methylene blue.
