Analisis ambiental de bolsas de transporte de mercancías en la ciudad de Salta

the environmental profile of different types of supermarket carrier bags in the city of salta was analyzed, considering the potential of global warming and visual impact environmental categories in their life cycle. the best available bag treatment/disposal technology considering different criteria was evaluated. the high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene and polypropylene supermarket carrier bags were the products with best environmental performance in the category of global warming potential, with adequate technology for the treatment and / or disposal of the bags in the region. the visual impact generated by these products due to their improper disposal should be managed through a clear policy on integrated management of household waste. the policy should promote reduction at entry-point, using a tool to control the excessive use of these products in different vending businesses and an increase of its life cycle through recycling.
