this paper has its origin in series of conferences which took place in june and july 2009, to pay homage to mlp. it intends to analyse, in a systematic connection, the notions of ？care？ and of ？public space？ with reference to mlp thought as a theoretical thinker and to her public life involvement, both national and international. besides, it also aims to underline mlp coherent line of thought, since the very beginning of her involvement, and show that such notions take root in the causes she was concerned with since 20th century fifties.
