Amor y poder entre los géneros

in order to analyze power relationships in married couples, i have proposed a typology that classifies relationships between women and men around an axe that goes from tradition to innovation. i describe the dynamics of conjugal relationships in traditional couples, transitional, countercultural and in innovative ones. i present findings derived from qualitative research, where we can see the complex ways in which the erotic desire, communication, work position and parenthood, articulate in such a way that it is impossible to discriminate between desire, a theoretic category that is crucial to psychoanalysis and power relationships, a fundamental concept in gender studies.
