Concentración nutrimental en hoja, cáscara y pulpa de aguacate CV: 'Fuerte' por efecto de aspersiones foliares de nitrato de calcio

the avocado is one of the most important cultivations in mexico for the entrance of foreign currencies that generates due to the export of the fruit; although this activity is affected particularly by problems like the presence of physiologic disorders when it is stored to low temperatures, and the deficiency of calcium has been related with the appearance of these disorders; the calcium is important because it increases the stability of the membrane and the resistance of the cellular wall increases. in the present investigation the effect of the applications preharvest foliar sprays in cv. fuerte avocado trees of ca(no3)2 was evaluated on the concentration nutrimental in leaf, peel and flesh 'fuerte'. the study was carried out in coatepec harinas, state of mexico, mexico; they were carried out preharvest foliar sprays in cv. fuerte avocado trees with ca(no3)2 0, 0.3 and 0.5 % concentrations, every days starting from the second half of september 2003 until the beginning of 15 january 2004, being a total of 11 applications. the nutrimental concentration in leaf, peel and pulp was evaluated with the procedures indicated by chapman and pratt (1991). the results showed that no increment was found on the mineral concentrations of n, p, k, ca and mg in leaf, peel and pulp for effect of the concentration factor; however, the analyzed nutriments had a different behavior in each one of the years of evaluation, where in the second year it was observed an increment of ca in the peel and flesh, but not in leaf.
