Reporte de familias y especies de Magnoliophyta del Parque Nacional Terepaima depositadas en el Herbario José Antonio Casadiego (UCOB) de la UCLA - Barquisimeto, Venezuela

the terepaima national park is located in the municipalities iribarren and palavecino of lara state, and municipality araure of portuguesa state. this park includes the origen of the sanare river, which drains toward portuguesa state and feeds las majaguas dam, which is important for agricultural and industrial activities development for portuguesa state. much is said about plant diversity of terepaima national park but little is made knon or to preserve it. for this reason interest was raised to inform about botanical species belonging to magnoliophyta collected in this park and deposited at the herbarium josé a. casadiego (ucob) from decanato de agronomía of universidad centroccidental lisandro alvarado (ucla), in lara state. determinations were made by comparison to deposited samples in the herbarium ucob, herbarium nacional of venezuela (ven), herbarium de la unellez (port) and by revision of specialized literature. a total of 93 families, 322 genera and 462 species were recognized. families showing higher number of genera were: poaceae, asteraceae, rubiaceae, fabaceae, euphorbiaceae, mimosaceae and verbenaceae.
