La interpretación de Freud recuperada desde la mirada fenomenológica de Merleau-Ponty

the version of the freudian theory that merleau-ponty offers us in his writings is undoubtedly debatable, like any other scholarly interpretation. however, his reading allows us a more valuable and insightful approach to freud than the ones we are used to dealing with. even though it seems paradoxical, the recovery this phenomenologist makes of the philosophy of the freudian theory presents as a result -as will be shown here- both its strengthening and seeing it as extraordinarily proftable (even at a philosophical level) in intuitions which, though always present in freud, have not always been apprehended in the originally freudian sense. in this essay, i intend to expose maurice merleau-ponty's thought on sigmund freud -that is, what for this philosopher is the "frst freud" and the "second freud" -in a descriptive way. my contribution here is to offer the maurice merleau-pontyan vision of sigmung freud that one gets when examining, in an interconnected way, all the references to this psychiatrist which appear throughout all of merleau-ponty's texts.
