Descripción de la técnica de buceo del Pato de Torrente (Merganetta armata) en el Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi, Argentina

we describe the torrent duck's (merganetta armata) diving technique from deep and shallow waters in two rivers of the north-western patagonia, through 36 observations on 3 individuals. we discuss the possibility that this diving technique is a stereotyped behaviour. we relate the feeding behaviour to the habits of the main preys from the area.
