Abstract:

the purpose of this research was to identify the conceptions that the students of the superior degree in education of the ucv hold in relation to reading and its teaching process. the group investigated is characterized by being actual teachers who professionalize through the modality of supervised university studies. the data collected through the application of a questionnaire allowed to know that the majority keeps a traditional vision of reading and that, by instance, even though there is an emphasis on the importance of the reading strategies, this is not observed as a recreational process, but as codification of written texts
