Abstract:

we try to capture, as it is happening, the practical implementation of "common basic contents, cbc, of art - the current curricular proposal of the state - in the 1st year of secondary school, in two state public schools, both located in the city of belo horizonte/mg. we chose to research only schools (two secondary schools, poles apart in performance levels) one classified as a reference school; the other, not. we aim to draw our conclusions with relation to the pedagogical art proposal of the school being studied; the art educator's planning process providing the opportunity for exploring what possibilities exist for a dialogue between the school proposal and that of cbc/art; the cooperation of all agents able to inform (shed light on) the process; not least, the perspective of the student body, but equally the conceptual, procedural and attitudinal aspects presented in art classes. far from intending to generalize results, having only analyzed two schools, the intention is rather to elucidate current (and contemporary) issues in the surveyed schools, such that they can be reflected on and be colocated alongside contributions from other schools, teachers and researchers.
