Interpretación Trimilenaria del Poder Moral en BolívarKeywords: moral power, ethics, political ethics, social ethics, paideia, bolivar. Abstract: moral power is inherent in bolivar?s independent nation project for latin america, whose realization will also require the confluence of education, social justice and ethics (speech to the angostura congress). therefore, bolivar?s concept of ethics was not the individual concept of private behavior but the political concept of social ethics needed to transform colonial society to benefit the destitute majorities. bolivar perceived ethics as a version of ?legitimacy,? understood as allegiance to the state (polis) where moral power acts as ?paideia? to shape social and political morals according to the collective project of a nation. the study has been developed through a documentary investigation of the liberator?s writings, processed using the analytical method.
