Vólvulo intestinal secundario a divertículo de Meckel

meckel′s diverticulum is the most common congenital anomaly of the gastrointestinal tract. in most cases it is found incidentaly during a laparotomy or in autopsies. when it is simptomatic (in about 4% of cases) it could be sencondary to ulceration, bleeding or perforation due to ectopic gastric mucosa; to inflamation or to intestinal obstruction, as in the case presented here.
