Estrategias en el estudio de la asociación en tablas de contingencia por estudiantes de psicología

contingency tables are essential tools for the professional work of psychologists and other health-care professionals; however, little attention is paid to its teaching. in this work we describe an exploratory study of the different strategies that a sample of psychology students used to establish the possible association of two variables, presented in contingency tables. results are compared with a previous study by estepa (1993) with high school students and implicit semiotic conflicts are identified in the partially correct and incorrect strategies.
