Migrantes precarios. Inmigrantes mexicanos en la subcontratación en Estados Unidos

the aim of this article is to demonstrate that the mexican immigrants can increasingly be found in unskilled, badly-paid jobs because they are being hired by temp agencies, which also makes their employment unstable and sensitive to the negative effects of economic crises. however, the undocumented are underrepresented; they are found more in areas where out-sourcing has not advanced a great deal. this is due to three factors: social networks, the development of ethnic labor markets, and the increase in restrictions for entering the formal labor market. the methodology used was based on analysis of documents from the u.s. census bureau, the bureau of labor statistics, and the pew hispanic center.
