the genus lippia l. is highly diversified in brazilian cerrado. lippia minima (verbenaceae), endemic to goiás state, is described and illustrated. this species is noteworthy for its small habit, xylopodium and coriaceous, revolute, and densely puberulent-glandulose leaves.
