Una vez más: ?qué (no) es ilustración?Keywords: enlightenment, logical common sense, dialectic without reconciliation. Abstract: perhaps there is an irreductible difference between the ways in which history and philosophy understand the enlightenment. however, from the critiques made by the former, it may be possible to attempt a re-definition of the latter's conception. resorting to the kantian notion of logical common sense, this article claims that the reference to its opposite, religion, as well as the interaction which is substantial to the very notion of enlightenment. thus, between enlightenment and religion there seems to be a relationship -here considered as dialectic without reconciliation- in view of which it becomes necessary to talk about a history within both possitions, which decisively evolves from their mutual con-frontation. perhaps this conceptual typology could be useful for the understanding of the phenomena of enlightenment in the hispanic and america world.
