?Una superación estética del deber?: La crítica de Schiller a KantKeywords: duty, aesthetic freedom, moral freedom. Abstract: the following paper explores the different nuances that become visible with a more attentive reading of schiller?s criticism of kant?s practical philosophy as it is exposed in his essays on grace and dignity (1793), the letters on the aesthetic education of man (1795) and on the sublime (1796-1801). the idea is to show a more accurate interpretation of schiller?s comments to the kantian notion of freedom, since it has been misunderstood, if not ignored, by the mainstream of the kantian tradition. the paper focuses in explaining what does an ?aesthetic overcoming of duty? mean in schiller?s terms and how is this closely related to a possible reading of kantian philosophy, explored by philosophers like ezra heymann. the final purpose of the essay is to rescue a much more careful reading of the kantian practical proposal, enlightened by a more contemporary approach.
