EPISTEME 2009
Epistemología de la representación del cambio socialKeywords: social causality, isomorphism between discourse and society, conditions of inference validity. Abstract: in social sciences, the epistemological examination of what enables the isomorphism (i.e.; similarity or correspondence) between text and society, has been left behind. it is usually supposed without questioning their validity. the main epistemological matters involving the reproduction of social change in the text are developed herein: it is postulated a division of social reality into levels and there are considered certain conditions of validity for the inference process about events from one level to another. the aim is to propose a formalizable analytical model which be useful for studying the relationship between discourse and reality in the light of social change. the achievements were:(1o) defining two sets of conditions of the validity of interlevel inference(i.e.; between levels of social reality), (2o) expressing change as an interlevel phenomenon for a group of sequences in a homeomorphic synchronic relation, and (3o) analyzing the causal manifestation of social change in a high level through the process of interlevel causality. the results are a first step towards the creation of an interdisciplinary theory which allows to formally analyze the more general types of problems involved in the inference between different levels of reality.
