Abstract: the current development stage of society has, in the democracy, one of the most relevant characteristics in condition to offer answers to the most varied demands stemming from its inner parts. different societies, as well as nature, have its condition characterized by differences, internally as well as in relation to other societies. the search to reach justice in the democratic societies occurs by supposing this is a fundamental characteristic. from that comes the need to search not linear relations, however fair, as they are condemned, in different manifestations, and in different levels, nationally and internationally, to the appalling inequalities. the propositions according to john rawls?s and amartya sen?s thought, including the strong adherence to democracy, the principles of justice, the tolerance and rhetoric relevance reached by the human rights, are essential for a fairer regulation of the relationship among peoples.
