La teoría de la inconmensurabilidad entre teorías científicas y el carácter ?Irracional? de la cienciaKeywords: kuhn, theories scientific, sciences. Abstract: it is commonplace among sociologists, philosophers and scientists consider that the essential contribution of thomas kuhn's thesis is to add science to the dimension of its own history and external history that determines. i will try to justify the assumption that, despite the plausibility that has this view of kuhn's contribution, it is untenable to draw on internal and external histories of science and yet hold a position of incommensurability between theories, therefore eliminating the possibility of measuring the progress that is won when a scientific theory is abandoned in favor of another. i will try to show that the theory of kuhnian incommensurability out the possibility of talking about progress, evolution, or simply improving scientific knowledge. one last point to clarify, within this problem will be to bolster the idea that kuhn's thesis lead to irrationality of the scientific enterprise, which does not in any case, hold that there are no historical cases that seem to verify kuhnian theses, but that while isolated cases are not significant to support the thesis of incommensurability inter-theoric, which would, in my opinion, to argue that scientists act irrationally in choosing between theories.
