Ciudadanía y espacio público: Una recuperación del republicanismo arendtiano

the purpose of this article is to recreate the notion of citizen represented in some of the most outstanding works of hannah arendt. in order to do so, arendt？s categories such as the conscious pariah, the hero and the reflexive spectator have been recovered. this recovery of the concept of citizen gives a new perspective on the notion of public space. the difference made between public and private will be analyzed as it appears in arendt？s work, mainly in the book the human condition and her critique of the emergence of the social will also be reviewed in order to show that this characterization of citizenship and public space is a way of defending the notion of radical politics of republican tradition.
