bibliography about teaching philosophy is abundant, and it is mostly focused on a philosophical research about that teaching. the characteristics of such kind of research are really different from those in educational research. it is urgent to dedicate more attention to this last matter, analyzing what is happening in teaching philosophy with the methodological criteria typical of educational research. this approach would allow to reach more prosper conclusions that would make possible an improvement of our practice and a validation of the arguments in favor of the presence of philosophy in educational systems.
