Conflitos na gest？o do Parque Nacional da Serra da Bocaina: entraves ao desenvolvimento local na vila de Trindade (Paraty, RJ)

this paper aims to highlight socio-environmental conflicts triggered in the management of the national park serra da bocaina at trindade's village. it focuses upon the contradictions present between the different views of development implicitly drawn upon during the management process. the research contributes to ongoing debates on old and new approaches to development, focusing upon the management of protected areas. based on an analysis of this experience, the paper concludes on the need to better the integration between society and nature, as well as, promote a decentralization of management at these areas.
