新疆话“勺”字贬义刍议
A Preliminary Discussion on the Derogatory Meaning of the Word “Shao” in Xinjiang Dialect

“勺”本为舀取液体的工具，在新疆话中有愚蠢、笨拙、呆傻、糊涂等贬义，且表贬义时的语音与本义不同。新疆话“勺”字贬义的出现或与新疆地区通过丝绸之路、人口迁移、新疆杂话等历史文化因素和其他地区发生的语言接触有关。本次研究主要着眼于新疆话“勺”字贬义的内涵、语用功能及其相关的语言接触，以期助力新疆话具体词汇的研究及为我国新疆地区与其他地区的密切交往提供例证。
The word “Shao” was originally used as a tool for scooping up liquids, but in Xinjiang dialect, it has pejorative meanings such as stupid, clumsy, foolish, and confused, and the pronunciation of the word is different from its original meaning. The emergence of the pejorative meaning of the word “Shao” in Xinjiang region may be related to the language contact between Xinjiang region and other regions through historical and cultural factors such as the Silk Road, population movements, and Xinjiang region miscellaneous languages. The present study focuses on the connotation, pragmatic function, and language contact of the derogatory meaning of the word “Shao” in Xinjiang dialect, with a view to contributing to the study of the vocabulary of Xinjiang dialect and providing examples of the close interaction between the Xinjiang region of China and other regions of China.
