The exploration of the meaning of life has run through the evolution of human thought. It is a core issue of the value of individual existence and a crucial link in maintaining personal happiness and the harmonious development of society. This paper integrates theories from multiple disciplines, including philosophy, psychology, and sociology, to conduct an in-depth analysis of the connotations and construction mechanisms of the meaning of life from the perspectives of the self and society. It aims to provide guidance with both theoretical depth and practical value for individuals to find and realize the meaning of life in the complex and ever-changing modern society. The research shows that the meaning of life is reflected in the organic integration of individual life elements in the self-dimension, and is manifested through the interaction between individuals and society in the social dimension. The two are interrelated and mutually influential, jointly constituting a rich picture of the meaning of life.
