|
Abstract:
This paper examines George Sand’s novel Consuelo in relation to its intertextual connections with Shakespearean drama, focusing on how the novel integrates theatrical elements through musicalized narration to achieve cross-media adaptation. The study unfolds in three key aspects: first, it explores the strategies of character transformation, highlighting intertextual features; second, it analyzes the application of operatic narrative structures in the novel’s composition; and third, it investigates stylistic experiments in language and form, particularly how textual techniques evoke musical and dramatic effects.
