In the protection of water cultural heritage in the ancient city of Yangzhou, the sluice station called “Huangjinba” is a representative of water cultural heritage, its protection and display design is not only a practice of the dual deconstruction of water culture and environment in the ancient city of Yangzhou, but also of great significance for the inheritance of water culture and historical heritage. As an important protected heritage of Yangzhou water culture, the special historical value and practical function of the sluice station called “Huangjinba” need to be sustained through systematic protection strategies and innovative display designs. This article will conduct a dual deconstruction of water culture and environment in the ancient city of Yangzhou and explore the specific logic of the protection strategy and display design of the sluice station called “Huangjinba”, under the concept of sensory drive, as well as the creation of its cultural space, providing a valuable demonstration for the comprehensive protection of water cultural heritage and environment in Yangzhou.
