A Review of TOEFL Listening Preparation in Theory and in the Classroom

Abstract:

本文从学生在托福听力考试中面临的典型挑战出发,梳理了当前官方与非官方途径中推荐的备考方法,并结合课堂教学中可操作的教学策略与语速调整实践,总结出具有实用价值的教学建议,以期为从事托福教学的教师提供具有理论依据和可操作性的指导。
This paper starts from the typical challenges students face in the TOEFL listening test, reviews the currently recommended preparation methods from both official and unofficial sources, and, combined with practical teaching strategies and speech rate adjustment practices applicable in the classroom, summarizes practical teaching recommendations. The aim is to provide TOEFL instructors with theoretically grounded and actionable guidance.
