The General Senior High School English Curriculum Standards (2017 Edition, Revised in 2020) clearly points out the six elements of curriculum content such as themes, texts, and language knowledge, providing a basis for effective textbook analysis. This article starts from the six elements of curriculum content and specifically analyzes Unit 1 of the compulsory senior high school English textbooks of the People’s Education Press, which is helpful to enhance teachers’ and students’ understanding and grasp of the key points of the textbooks.
