文化翻译理论视角下散文中文化负载词的英译研究——以张培基《英译中国现代散文选(三)》为例
The English Translation Study of Culturally Loaded Words in Prose from the Perspective of Cultural Translation Theory—Taking Zhang Peiji’s Selected Modern Chinese Essays (3) as an Example

中国现代散文的译介传播对中华文化“走出去”战略具有重要意义。如何妥当处理中国现代散文中文化负载词的翻译是译者面临的一大挑战。本文在巴斯奈特文化翻译理论的指导下，归纳并分析国内翻译家张培基所作《英译中国现代散文选(三)》中文化负载词的翻译方法以及这些方法的成效。研究发现，译者在翻译文化负载词时灵活运用音译、直译、意译、音译加注释以及音译加直译五种翻译方法，同时，张培基译文符合巴斯奈特文化翻译理论的核心观点。通过以上研究，本文旨在为散文中文化负载词的英译研究提供一个新的理论视角，同时归纳有效的翻译方法以助推中国现代散文外译。
The translation and dissemination of modern Chinese prose play a crucial role in advancing the strategy of promoting Chinese culture globally. A significant challenge for translators lies in the appropriate handling of the translation of culturally loaded words in modern Chinese prose. Guided by Bassnett’s Cultural Translation Theory, this paper summarizes and analyzes the translation methods used by Chinese translator Zhang Peiji in his Selected Modern Chinese Essays (3) for culturally loaded words, as well as the effectiveness of these methods. The research reveals that the translator flexibly applies five translation techniques: transliteration, literal translation, free translation, transliteration with annotation, and a combination of transliteration and literal translation. Furthermore, Zhang Peiji’s translations are in line with the core principles of Bassnett’s Cultural Translation Theory. Through this study, the paper aims to offer a new theoretical perspective for research on the English translation of culturally loaded words in prose and to summarize effective translation strategies to boost the translation of modern Chinese prose into foreign languages.
