排球运动自其诞生起，便在全球范围内风靡起来。为更好服务排球运动在电视上的转播，其赛事解说应运而生。本文将运用连淑能的英汉对比研究框架，并结合Edward Hall跨文化交际理论，聚焦于中英排球赛事解说中的不同特点，以对比分析中英排球赛事解说背后的语言与文化，为更好推动中英排球赛事解说的交流和排球项目的发展提供指导与帮助。
Since its inception, volleyball has gained widespread popularity across the globe. To better serve the televised broadcasting of volleyball, match commentary has emerged as an essential component. This paper employs Lian Shuneng’s framework for comparative studies of English and Chinese, combined with Edward Hall’s theory of cross-cultural communication, to focus on the distinct characteristics of volleyball match commentary in Chinese and English contexts. By conducting a comparative analysis of the language and culture underlying Chinese and English volleyball commentary, this study aims to provide guidance and support for enhancing the exchange of commentary practices between the two languages and promoting the development of volleyball as a sport.
