Currently, the acceleration of globalization and digitalization has made traditional teaching models increasingly inadequate to meet learners’ needs for continuing education in English. This article, in conjunction with the technological development of adaptive learning platforms, explores how English continuing education can innovate its development path empowered by artificial intelligence. It analyzes how educators and learners can deeply utilize adaptive platforms to further promote the high-quality transformation of educational models. With the enhancement of computing power and the further development of artificial intelligence, adaptive English learning platforms will deepen the cultivation of learners’ cross-cultural practice abilities, promote the development of continuing education, and contribute to the construction of a lifelong learning system.
