生态翻译学视域下的公示语英译现状研究
Research on the Current Status of Public Sign Translation from the Perspective of Eco-Translatology

近年随着旅游业的发展，公示语的作用也日益凸显，但目前公示语英译仍存在诸多问题。本文以山西省运城市为例，从生态翻译学的三个维度出发，对相关实例进行梳理和实地调研。研究发现，以往研究忽略了居民身边的语言环境，如公园公示语。公园公示语英译存在拼音直译、拼写错误、用词不当、句式冗长以及大小写错误等问题。针对上述发现，本文对如何解决城市公园公示语不规范使用的现象提出建议，旨在提升城市形象，促进城市文化的发展，为我国公示语英译的规范化和质量提升提供参考。
In recent years, with the development of the tourism industry, the role of public signs has become increasingly prominent. However, there are still many problems in the English translation of public signs. Taking Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, as a case study, this paper conducts a review and field research on relevant instances from the three dimensions of Eco-Translatology. The study finds that previous research has overlooked the linguistic environment around residents, such as public signs in parks. The English translation of park public signs is plagued by issues such as direct transliteration using pinyin, spelling mistakes, inappropriate word choice, verbose sentence structures, and errors in capitalization. In response to these findings, this paper proposes suggestions on how to address the irregular use of public signs in urban parks, aiming to enhance the city’s image, promote the development of urban culture, and provide a reference for the standardization and quality improvement of English translation of public signs in China.
