Harbin, as a renowned ice and snow tourism destination in China, possesses unique ice and snow resources and a growing cultural heritage rooted in winter traditions. In recent years, the growing public pursuit of enhanced quality of life has driven increasing demand for winter sports tourism, presenting new development opportunities for Harbin’s ice and snow sports tourism industry. However, during its active development of winter sports tourism, Harbin faces several challenges and issues that require attention. This paper aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the current development status and existing problems in Harbin’s ice and snow sports tourism sector, while proposing corresponding development recommendations to facilitate high-quality growth in this industry.
