随着时代的不断发展，人们生活水平的不断提高以及人们思维的转变，宠物走进了越来越多的家庭，宠物成为家庭的组成部分之一，并且开始承载着人类的情感与精神寄托。当宠物的数量上涨后，与宠物相关的民事纠纷也随之增加。当宠物受到侵害或死亡时，宠物的主人可能会遭受极大的心理伤痛，这时的宠物已经不再属于单纯的财产物，而成为了人格化宠物，此时宠物主人可以向侵害方申请获得精神损害赔偿。
With the continuous development of society, the improvement of people’s living standards, and the transformation of societal mindsets, pets have become members of more and more households. They now serve as integral parts of families and increasingly carry emotional and spiritual significance for their owners. As the number of pets rises, civil disputes related to pets have also increased. When pets are harmed or killed, their owners may suffer profound psychological trauma. In such cases, pets are no longer regarded merely as property but as personified pets, enabling owners to claim compensation for mental distress from the responsible parties.
