With the increasing awareness of cultural heritage protection, the preservation and planning of traditional villages have become increasingly important. This article explores the application of three-dimensional laser scanning technology in this field by analyzing the historical culture and current status of traditional villages in Mentougou. This technology provides a high-precision and efficient surveying method, which is of significant value for understanding and protecting traditional villages. The article introduces the basic principles of three-dimensional laser scanning and its specific application in surveying the villages of Mentougou, as well as the contributions of this technology to village planning. The research results indicate that three-dimensional laser scanning technology can provide reliable data support for the maintenance and development of traditional villages, promoting the scientific and practical nature of planning.
