生态翻译视域下《牡丹亭》典故英译研究——以汪榕培译本为例
Study on English Translation of Allusions in The Peony Pavilion from the Perspective of Eco-Translatology—A Case Study of Rongpei Wang’s Translation

本文在生态翻译语言维、文化维和交际维视域下，以汪榕培教授的《牡丹亭》英译本为研究文本，选取书中的典故翻译进行研究分析。研究结果表明，汪译本在典故的翻译中体现了较高的生态翻译策略运用，为《牡丹亭》的英译提供了有益的参考。汪译本《牡丹亭》在生态翻译三维视域下成功传达了原作的精髓和文化内涵。该译作通过对语言、文化和交际三个维度的精准处理，为中华典籍的外译提供了宝贵的参考，推动了中华文化在全球的传播与理解。这一研究不仅丰富了翻译理论，也为未来的典籍翻译提供了重要的实践指导。
This paper examines the translation of allusions in Professor Rongpei Wang’s English translation of The Peony Pavilion under the perspective of eco-translatology, focusing on its linguistic, cultural, and communicative dimensions. The findings reveal that Wang’s translation exhibits a sophisticated application of eco-translatology strategies in rendering these allusions, serving as a beneficial reference for the English translation of The Peony Pavilion. Within the three-dimensional framework of eco-translatology, Wang’s translation of The Peony Pavilion successfully captures the essence and cultural depth of the original work. By meticulously addressing the linguistic, cultural, and communicative aspects, this translation offers invaluable insights for the overseas dissemination of Chinese classics, facilitating the global understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. This research not only enriches translation theory, but also provides crucial practical guidance for future translations of canonical books.
