Cultural awareness is an important component of the core competencies in English learning and a crucial means to fulfill the fundamental task of cultivating morality and fostering talents. The author conducts an in-depth analysis of the connotations, presentation modes, and teaching strategies of cultural awareness in the new high school English textbooks, emphasizing the significance of cultural awareness in English language teaching. Furthermore, specific teaching strategies are proposed to enhance students’ intercultural communication skills and the effectiveness of their language learning outcomes.
