生态翻译学视角下纪录片《万象中国》字幕英译中的文化负载词的英译策略研究
A Study on the Translation Strategies of Culture-Loaded Words in the English Subtitling of the Documentary China Bouquet from the Perspective of Eco-Translatology

纪录片中的文化负载词作为中国文化的重要组成部分，其翻译质量直接影响中国文化在国际社会的传播效果和认知程度，如何准确且高效地传递源语言中的文化内涵，已成为翻译研究的重要议题之一。胡庚申教授巧妙地将生态学和翻译学交叉融合，创建了生态翻译学理论，为翻译的理论与实践开辟了崭新而广阔的视野。本文以生态翻译学为基础，选取纪录片《万象中国》字幕中文化负载词的英译为研究语料，运用生态翻译学的三维转换框架——语言、文化、交际维度，对译文进行分析。本文旨在回答：翻译者如何在对文化负载词的翻译中实现三维转换？研究表明，纪录片《万象中国》富含具有中国特色的专有名词，语料丰富，研究价值高。在翻译过程中，译者巧妙运用了生态翻译学理论：在语言维度，译者通过语言形式转换和语境构建，使观众获得相近的视听体验；在文化维度，灵活运用直译与意译结合的方法，确保文化内涵的准确传递；在交际维度，遵循交际意图，提升翻译的传播效果。本研究从生态翻译学的视角对纪录片《万象中国》中文化负载词的翻译进行分析，有助于深化对文化负载词的翻译研究并激发更多学者关注字幕中文化负载词的翻译研究。
Culturally loaded words in documentaries are an essential part of Chinese culture, and their translation quality directly affects the dissemination and perception of Chinese culture in the international community. How to accurately and effectively convey the cultural connotations of the source language has become a key issue in translation studies. Professor Hu Gengshen creatively integrated ecology and translation studies to establish the theory of eco-translatology, providing a novel and expansive perspective for translation theory and practice. This study, based on eco-translatology, examines the English translation of culturally loaded words in the subtitles of the documentary China Bouquet. Using the three-dimensional transformation framework of eco-translatology—linguistic, cultural, and communicative dimensions—the study analyzes how translators achieve these transformations. The research reveals that China Bouquet contains a wealth of culturally specific terms, making it a valuable subject for translation studies. Translators effectively apply eco-translatology principles: in the linguistic dimension, they adapt language forms and construct contexts to provide audiences with a viewing experience similar to that of source-language viewers; in the cultural dimension, they flexibly combine literal and free translation to ensure accurate transmission of cultural connotations; in the communicative dimension, they align with communicative intent to enhance the effectiveness of cultural transmission. By analyzing the translation of culturally loaded words in China Bouquet from the perspective of eco-translatology, this study contributes to the understanding of cultural translation and aims to inspire further research on subtitle translation of culturally loaded words.
