基于接受美学理论下机器翻译与人工翻译的对比与分析——以朱自清散文《匆匆》英译本为例

Abstract:

散文作为文学作品中的一种特殊文体,具有极高的审美价值。本文以张培基先生英译本《匆匆》为例,选取目前三款主流机器翻译软件,包括有道翻译、百度翻译以及Deepl,从接受美学的概念出发,通过“空白性”与“未确定性”、期待视野和视野融合三个方面,将《匆匆》张培基译本与三款机器翻译软件译文进行对比分析,通过对比发现,张培基译本可读性更强,更符合接受美学理论的要求。因此我们可以选择、利用好机器翻译软件,在机器翻译之后,进行人工的译前译后编辑,以此来提高散文翻译准确度,使散文翻译达到美学的标准。
As a special genre in literary works, prose holds high aesthetic value. This paper takes Zhang Peiji’s English translation of Transient Days as an example and selects three mainstream machine translation software, including Youdao Translation, Baidu Translation, and Deepl. Starting from the concept of reception aesthetics, this study compares and analyzes Zhang Peiji’s translation with the translations produced by the three machine translation software through the aspects of “vacuity” and “uncertainty”, “horizon of expectations” and “fusion of horizons”. The comparison reveals that the Zhang Peiji translation has stronger readability and better meets the requirements of reception aesthetics theory. Therefore, we can make good use of machine translation software by conducting pre-editing and post-editing after machine translation to improve the accuracy of prose translation, thereby achieving the aesthetic standards of prose translation.
