Abstract:

对分课堂(PAD课堂)是一种融合讲授式与讨论式教学优势的新型教学模式,其核心理念在于将课堂时间一分为二地分配给教师和学生。本文旨在探究对分课堂应用于高中英语阅读教学的可行性,基于理论基础分析了其拥有适用性强、互动性强和省时省力的应用优势,与难以合理分配时间和进行课堂管理的应用劣势。最后,文章还根据其应用劣势,提出了在高中英语阅读教学中实施对分课堂的建议,包括明确教师职责,营造积极氛围和循序渐进,以期为一线英语教师提供新思路,继续探索高中英语阅读教学的有效途径。
The PAD class is a novel teaching model that integrates the advantages of both lecture-based and discussion-based teaching, with the core concept of equally dividing class time between teachers and students. This paper aims to explore the feasibility of applying the PAD Class to senior high school English reading, analyzing its strengths—such as strong applicability and interactivity, as well as time-saving and labor-saving—and its weaknesses, particularly the difficulties in allocating time and managing class effectively, based on the theoretical foundation. Finally, the paper proposes suggestions for implementing the PAD Class in senior high school English reading teaching, addressing its weaknesses by clarifying teachers’ responsibilities and creating a positive atmosphere, as well as establishing evaluation standards proceeding in an orderly way and step by step, hoping to provide new insights for front-line English teachers to continue exploring effective methods for English reading teaching in senior high school.
