Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to perform finite element analysis of the shaft of a ring drill by ANSYS Workbench software in order to explore its mechanical properties during scar removal. As an emerging precision cutting tool, the ring drill shows great potential in the field of dermatoplasty and scar revision. The three-dimensional model of the ring drill shaft was established by SolidWorks software and analyzed by static modal simulation in ANSYS. The material properties, meshing, modal analysis, and hydrostatic analysis of the ring drill shaft are investigated. The modal analysis reveals the intrinsic frequency of the shaft under different vibration modes, while the hydrostatic analysis evaluates the stress distribution and deformation of the shaft under static loading. The results show that the ring drill shaft has a small deformation under the torque in the design speed range, and the stress distribution is mainly concentrated in the cross-shaft area. These findings provide theoretical support for the optimal design and clinical application of ring drills, which can help achieve safer and more effective scarring treatment.
