《西游记》詹纳尔英译本中石文化专有项的翻译策略研究
A Study of Translation Strategies for Stone Culture-Specific Items in the English Translation of Journey to the West by W. J. F. Jenner

本研究依据艾克西拉文化专有项分类准则为导向，以中国经典文学作品《西游记》詹纳尔英译本为研究对象，通过案例分析的研究方法，分析《西游记》中石文化的翻译策略。研究发现，译者在翻译石文化时，主要运用文化替换翻译策略，辅之以文化保留类翻译策略，在传递字面意义之际，有效再现了原文的语言风格与文化内涵。
Guided by the translation strategies for culture-specific items put forward by Aixelá, this study analyzes the strategies adopted by W. J. F. Jenner in his translation version of Journey to the West. Through a case study approach, it analyzes the translation strategies employed in the rendering of the stone culture within the text. The research reveals that the translator primarily adopts the strategy of cultural substitution when translating elements of stone culture, complemented by cultural conservation translation strategies. In doing so, the translator not only conveys the literal meanings but also effectively reproduces the linguistic style and cultural connotations of the original text.
