This paper deeply discusses the basic principles of the relationship between capital and labor in Marxism, including the nature and attributes of capital, the duality of labor and commodity value, the unity of opposites between capital and labor, and the inherent contradiction of capitalist mode of production. The article further analyzes the practical significance of these principles in contemporary society, including criticizing the capitalist exploitation system, guiding labor legislation and rights protection, promoting the harmony and stability of labor relations, and reflecting on the capitalist development model. At the same time, the article also discusses the challenges and development of labor relations under the background of globalization, scientific and technological progress, diversification of social structure and environmental protection.
