This paper aims to explore the close relationship between second language acquisition and pragmatics. First, it defines the concepts of second language acquisition and pragmatics, and summarizes their respective research categories. Then, the paper analyzes the relationship between L2 acquisition and pragmatics from the theoretical level, including the pragmatic phenomenon in L2 acquisition, the promoting effect of pragmatics on L2 acquisition, and the complementarity of the two in teaching methods. Then, concrete teaching cases are used to demonstrate the interaction between second language acquisition and pragmatics in practical teaching. Finally, the paper summarizes the relationship between second language acquisition and pragmatics in order to promote the common development of the two disciplines and provide more effective guidance for second language teaching and language learning.
