Abstract:

“概念隐喻”在很大程度上构成人类思维的基础。本文通过对概念隐喻理论的内涵、发展及其不同类型特点的理解,提出将隐喻理论引入高校英语词汇教学,启发学生通过隐喻的认知功能学习词汇和词组。并通过对比分析,揭示了概念隐喻在高校英语词汇教学中的应用潜力及其对学习效果的影响。
The “conceptual metaphor” fundamentally shapes human cognition to a significant extent. This paper explores the connotations, evolution, and distinctive features of different types of conceptual metaphor theory. It proposes the integration of metaphor theory into college English vocabulary teaching to stimulate students’ learning of vocabulary and phrases through the cognitive functions of metaphor. Through comparative analysis, the paper reveals the potential application of conceptual metaphor in college English vocabulary teaching and its impact on learning outcomes.
