|
Abstract:
One of the core elements of prosocial behavior is social mindfulness, which involves an individual’s natural concern for the well-being of others in a given situation. When making decisions, individuals take the initiative to consider the needs and expectations of others. This behavior transcends the limitations of self-centeredness and demonstrates the deep values of mutual respect and understanding in society. Third-party punishment refers to the willingness of bystanders to bear personal losses in order to punish those individuals who violate the rules and propose unfair distribution, and third-party punishment is of great significance to maintaining social fairness norms. Deepening the causes of third-party punishment and its positive impact on social progress is essential to deepen our understanding of human behavior and social interactions, and to promote social harmony. Previous studies in this paper have focused on the effects of emotions and dispenser traits on third-party punishment, but further exploration is needed in this field as to how previously perceived social mindfulness affects subsequent punishment behaviors.
